Divorce Coaching
Divorce is not just the end of a marriage. It’s the unraveling of the life you planned, and the beginning of one you haven’t imagined yet.
If you’re standing in that in-between place, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
I’m Beverly Zhai, an ICF-certified coach based in Toronto. I work with women going through divorce who want more than survival: they want clarity about what’s next, calm in the middle of the storm, and the confidence to build a life that finally feels like theirs.

If this sounds familiar…
- Constantly wondering if the relationship can still work, or if leaving is the right choice
- Paralyzed by the overwhelming process of uncoupling: lawyers, paperwork, decisions
- Lying awake worrying about money, the kids, or what starting over really looks like
- Feeling unanchored facing the thought of being alone
Here’s what changes with coaching
- Clarity to make the right decisions for your future, not from panic, not from guilt, from calm
- Steadiness through the emotional disruption, so you can show up strong for lawyers, mediators, and your kids
- A plan for your next chapter: finances, boundaries, routines, and the woman you’re becoming
What divorce coaching actually is
Your lawyer handles the legal fight. A therapist helps you process the past. A divorce coach stands beside you for everything in between: the decisions you have to make this week, the conversation you’re dreading tomorrow, the life you’re building next year.
Coaching is forward-looking and practical. We don’t relitigate the marriage. We prepare you for the meetings, the negotiations, and the mornings after.
How it works
1. Discovery session: A relaxed conversation about where you are and what you need. No pressure, no pitch. If we’re not the right fit, I’ll tell you honestly.
2. Clarity sessions: We work through the decisions in front of you: the lawyer meeting, the money questions, the hard conversations with your kids.
3. Rebuild plan: Together we design your next chapter with intention, so you’re not just recovering, you’re creating.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who do you work with?
I specialize in working with women who are navigating separation or divorce and want honest, structured support through the transition. If you’re unsure whether we’re a fit, the discovery session will answer that.
What is divorce coaching, and how is it different from therapy?
Therapy often focuses on healing the past. Divorce coaching looks forward: we work on clarity, decisions, and rebuilding, with practical steps for your next chapter. Many of my clients do both. They serve different purposes.
I’m not sure I’m ready to file. Is coaching still useful?
Yes. Some of the most important work happens before any paperwork. Deciding well matters more than deciding fast.
Are sessions in person or online?
All sessions are virtual by video call, so you can meet from wherever you are.
How do we get started?
Book a free 30-minute discovery call. We’ll talk about where you are, where you want to be, and whether coaching is the right fit.
The second half is allowed to be better
Divorcing comes with a special kind of fear: starting over at an age when the world whispers you should be settled. Let me say this clearly: it is not too late.
The women rebuilding aren’t cautionary tales. They’re proof.
If you’re ready for support, the next step is a conversation.
